1 decade ago
We are delighted to discover today (although rumours mills were in overdrive over the last month!!!!) that Peniche in Portugal will hold the 2nd last event of the ASP World Tour this October!
The event will take place from the 19th to the 28th of October. If you want to be there all you have to do is take a look at the accommodation we offer in the Surf House in Peniche or in accommodation in Ericeira - Choose where you wanna stay and book your self in for a great week of surfing and hanging out with the Worlds best surfers. Temperature will still be in the mid to late 20s.
9 out of 10 destinations are fixed and the remaining one, called the ‘Rip Curl Pro Search’ changes every year. This year we are delighted to discover that it is Peniche in Portugal.
The wave of choice is called Supertubos - a powerful A-frame barrel that handles waves up to 12-15ft (4-5m).
The event will see all the world’s best surfers such as Kelly Slater, Joel Parkinson, Mick Fanning, Taj Burrows, Aritz Aranburu, Jeremy Flores and of course Portuguese surfers Tiago Pires compete to win this prestigious title
