Come learn to surf with Bodie the islands longest serving and most experienced instructor. Bodie analyzes each individual student and adjusts his teaching methods to get the best out of everyone, all while making learning fun and keeping a strong emphasis on safety.
Being mobile allows us to find the most suitable conditions for our students to really enjoy their experience.
All the action is captured by GoPro cameras attached your board and the clips are emailed to you at no extra cost.

Due to changing tides exact surf lesson start times are not decided until the week of your lesson.
After you book we will contact you the week of your lesson to tell you your lessons start time.

Kids Surf

Kids as young as 4 are welcome as long as they are confident in the water and of course conditions are suitable. We usually ask that with younger children one of the parents is nearby or in the water with the child to help with a sense of security... then we employ an "instructor pushes and parents catches" approach so they are always close to an adult to ensure their safety.

Beginner Surf

Lessons are 2hrs and groups are kept small to ensure everyone receives lots of attention. The lesson starts on land with an intro to the break and a safety talk. Then we analyze each student during the "beach lesson" to apply and practice the most suitable technique to get you up and riding. The remaining time (60-90mins) is spent in the water working on the techniques you learned.

Intermediate Surf

Already catching waves but want to improve your technique? Our main surf spot caters for complete beginners as well as providing amazing conditions for intermediates. Whether it's catching waves consistently, making confident turns or just improving your stance and stamina we have the experience and location to set you on your way to being a much more confident surfer :)

Private Surf

This is the best way to learn or improve your technique as the focus is entirely on you and your party. You can sign up for a one on one class or a have an instructor just for you and your partner/family/friends without having to share the time with strangers. Loads of individual attention!!

Surf Guide

For experienced surfers. We pick you up at your accommodation for either a whole or half day expedition and use our local knowledge to take you to the best breaks with the best conditions according to your level. You can bring your own board but we will bring a small range of boards that you are free to chose from as well.

The island is only 22kms across so there are plenty of other options to explore further East, West and North. Below are a selection of options along the South Coast

South Point

One of the most consistent spots on the island. Breaks over flat reef and can produce fun lefts.

Surfers Point

A great beginners beach break and longboarders wave. Perfect for kids also.

Freights

Sand bottom left, not the most consistent but can produce some glorious long intermediate waves and photo perfect tropical barrels.

Silver Sands

Consistent fun right reefbreak that can get more interesting as the swell increases.

Brandons

Right and Left reef break , on the less consistent South West side!

Crane Beach

On the Eastern South side. Very consistent beach break that suits all standards.

Long Beach

Long beach can have some really fun waves and is a great go to spot on a daily basis. It can close out and be hard to read at times but always worth a look.

Payment

A small deposit is required to secure your booking.
Your balance is due when you arrive at the beach.

Cancelling

To cancel go to the MyAccount section and log in or register and you can cancel from within your account.
Your deposit is non refundable but can be used for the same property/surf school within one year of your original booking.

What happens if the surf school cancel the Surf Lessons?

In the rare occasion that conditions do not allow for the surf lesson to go ahead you will be given a full refund.

Debit/Credit cards are not accepted on site – cash only.
