The surf camp's hostel has two floors with windows for you to enjoy the spectacular views of the beach and the Atantic Ocean, and fitted wardrobes where you can store your stuff while you're out surfing. The first floor has shared bedrooms of four to six people, with bunk beds and separate shower and toilet areas. The second floor has shared bedrooms for four people with en suite bathrooms. The hostel has license (15 to AX to 16) from the Autonomous Community of Galicia, and it belongs to the International Network of Youth Hostels. The total capacity is for 86 people, with a floor space of 2,200 square meters. The ArtBar is a fantastic restaurant to bar where you can enjoy anything from a cup of coffee or a drink, to a lunch or dinner of your choice according to the menu. Furthermore, you can relax after a day of surfing or watch the waves before starting from the stunning sun terrace. In the 80 square meters audiovisual room, there are complementary lessons such as video correction, wave formation, or workshops that will help you improve your skills and knowledge. You can also challenge your friends to a game of table tennis. The chill to out area is the perfect place to relax on the hammocks or in the garden area. There is also a mini ramp, a three to sided football field, and a volleyball court. At the surf school, you will have the best surfing equipment in order to ride Razo’s waves like surfboards, wetsuits, and more.
Location
Artsurfcamp is one of the most prestigious surfcamps in Europe. Its located in Razo, in the municipality of Carballo, province of A Coruña on the Atlantic coast of Europe, it is also North from Portugal.
Razo is one of the best surfspots in the North of Spain and North from Portugal, it is a very peaceful place where you can surf 365 days a year and it has a 7km of sandy beach full of great waves for surfing. It's one of the few beaches in the European Atlantic coast where there are waves on a daily basis with the most frequent sea tides. Moreover, it is not a crowded surfspot at all, even in summer time, so your stay at ArtSurfCamp will be most enjoyable. The lifeguard service is operational around the clock and we coordinate with them so that there is a good vibe on the beach and your safety is covered.
Razo belongs to the municipality of Carballo, a town located just 9 km from the surfspot and has over 31,000 inhabitants, it has a health center and all the facilities of a small town. Carballo is just 20 minutes away from A Coruña and 50 minutes from Santiago de Compostela, important cities of Spain.
You can get to the camp on your own or, if you prefer, we ourselves can pick you up at the airports in A Coruna or Santiago, which both have connecting flights to the major cities in Spain like Madrid or Barcelona and important European cities like London, Geneva, Milan, Frankfurt. If you arrive by train or bus, we can pick you up at the bus or train stations in Coruna or Santiago.

Surf Lessons we offer:
Kids Surf Lessons
We offer surf lessons for kids aged 8-17. Each lesson is up to 2 hours and include softboard, wetsuit, insurance and changing room with hot shower. Safety and fun are our main priorities.
Beginner Surf Lessons
Our lessons are 2 hours per day and include softboard, wetsuit, insurance and changing room with hot shower. Student ratio is 1:6. The beginner's lessons are taught in waist deep water. You will learn everything from standing techniques to turning and finally paddling outside and learning hot to catch unbroken waves.
Intermediate Surf Lessons
Our lessons are 2 hours per day and include softboard, wetsuit, insurance and changing room with hot shower. Student ratio is 1:6. You will learn how waves are formed, how weather conditions create the surf and be given the step bi step guidance that will have you up and riding the waves on your first day!

Travelled solo
How did you like the accommodation?
Great site. The accommodations within the Hostal are comfortable. I would only recommend to check the season you go. The bar and restaurant of the hostel only work in summer, and the town only had one restaurant open.
How were the surf lessons?
Great surf lessons. Managed to get one day with small waves to learn the basics and a second day with bigger waves to have more fun. The instructor was friendly and professional, and managed to give feedback to the students even though they were on different levels of learning.
