You are offered hostel accommodation in family, twin, or double rooms with ensuite bathrooms and dormitory rooms with 4, 6, or 8 beds including ensuite bathrooms. All beds have heavenly Nordic duvet covers, crispy linen, and a small locker compartment to put your belongings away. Bring a padlock or purchase one at the reception.
In the campers lounge, you will find a kitchen to cook and a fridge to store your groceries. Make good use of the barbecue and enjoy the wonderful Sintra nights. Also, you can relax at the hostel living room, read that book that you wanted to finish for many weeks, and/or just be outside on one of the many terraces and decks and enjoy the special Sintra ocean air.
If you want, you could book your yoga in advance so they are able to secure the classes for you. Everybody is welcome, whether a beginner or a pro, and classes can always be taught at least in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Location
The Camp, Aldeia da Praia sits right between a sandy pine forest and the two Sintra beaches of Praia das Maçãs and Praia Grande. It is a 10 minute walk from the camp to both destinations with fine, white sand where the waves are rolling in. At sunset, you will have the most beautiful view with the sun disappearing into the sea. You'll find a common kitchen, supermarket, and a few cafés and restaurants, all around the Aldeia da Praia where the hostel is located.

Here you find 4 really nice beachbreack spots with waves for all levels and not so crowded, locals are friendly and as we are natives, you will be well received everywhere. If for some reason the conditions are not the best here, we can always move many different spots at half na hour distance in our vans. So surf will be guaranteed everyday!

Kids Surf Lessons
Surf activities are proven to be beneficial to children, helping them to achieve discipline and acquire other abilities appropriate to these water modalities. For this reason our school offers surf lessons from 6 year old kids in a safe a fun envoirement with all equipment included. All the kids love it!!
Beginner Surf Lessons
Everyday day we run surf lessons for all levels at least once a day in the best time of the tide.
The duration of each lesson is 2 h and it´s composed by a warm up, teaching and training the take off, some safety rules and knowledge about the beach, then action starts in the water where a certified coach will lead you to enjoy some funny waves and to improve your skills. All equipment included.
Intermediate Surf Lessons
Everyday day we run surf lessons for all levels at least once a day in the best time of the tide at the best spot around. After the warm up, a certified coach will give some tips about the conditions and the beach, then depending on your level, we will help you improve your skils, giving the right feedback to make a better surfer. Equipment is included and adapted to each one needs.
Advanced Surf Lessons
Everyday day we run surf lessons for all levels at least once a day in the best time of the tide at the best spot around. After the warm up, a certified coach will give some tips about the conditions and the beach, then depending on your level, we will help you improve your skils, giving the right feedback to make a better surfer. Equipment is included and adapted to each one needs.
Private Surf Lessons
In private lessons, surfers experience all the comfort and enjoyment that result from individualized attention. In this type of class a certified coach can give undivided attention to the student, transmitting information to the student’s reality, adapting better equipment, sea conditions and your surfing level, in order to achieve results faster and more efficient.

Sintra's two main beaches are Praia das Macas and Praia Grande. Both are perfect beginner/intermediate beaches and are some of the most consistent surf beaches in the whole Lisbon-Sintra area. North and South of these beaches are many small coves and beautiful hidden beaches that provide any exploring surfer with plenty to get excited about!
Close by is Praia Guincho, a spectacular long beach with different peaks, perfect for learning and can get big and windy in the afternoon, so morning is always the best bet here.
Ericeira is only 30 minutes drive and is definitely worth a day trip at least, it has dozens of surf beaches to offer including the famous point break Ribeira D'Ilhas and also the relaibale beach break Foz do Lizandro.
Further South is Cascais and Lisbon with an endless supply of different surf beaches for all standards.

It was a lovely week at the surf camp. The surfing trainers were really helpful and paid attention to all participants. I got free photos from one of my lessons. The location of the camp is about 1.5 km from the beach were we were surfing- praia Grande. I had only one lesson at a different location and the transport was provided. Overall- good value for money. If you haven't tried surfing yet, it's a good place to start.

I’ve spent such a great week with Surf At. The team is very very welcoming. Coaches are so nice and give you great and specific advices, they give me so much motivation even when I was not happy about myself. I am very glad of my surf class week. And the place is really beautiful.

How did you like the accommodation?
The accommodation was at a walkable distance to 2 beaches. It was also easy to access many other nice places by bus or Uber. There was a well equipped grocery store right beside our hostel which was useful if you like to cook. I enjoyed the back patio we had outside our room but would be nice with more patio chairs. Access to the variety of restaurants in the place was nice and we tried the pizza which was very good.

I very much enjoyed the surf lessons that were offered to us. The experience was personalized by getting good tips for each person. I appreciated the instructors trying to challenge each of us at our own level. I also enjoyed being able to go to a different beach to get better waves for our level.
