Get away from the crowd and have an unforgettable surf holiday in a cosy and modern resort!
You will stay at Quinta d'Anta Hotel and Surf Lodge. This property, a boutique to style hotel, was born from a project of friends who believe in hospitality. The venue combines the countryside tranquillity with the comfort of a modern hotel, offering exciting facilities: outdoor swimming pool, restaurant and bar service, barbecue, fitness center with personal trainer service and other activities such as yoga, massage, padel, or mountain bikes.
All the rooms at the property have a private bathroom and are equipped with air conditioning and a flat to screen television with cable channels. Free Wi to Fi is provided throughout the property (rooms, bars, the restaurant, living rooms, and outdoor areas) and if you drive a car, they also have free private parking available.
Besides the main property, there is also Nalu QdA Beach House, a restaurant/bar at the beach, just in front of the main local surf spot. It’s used as support for classes, chill out area and for food and beverage service.

Location
The Surf Lodge is located in Figueira da Foz (Maiorca) at Europe's best surf coast. The closest surf spots still hold their natural beauty, offering different wave options, point break, after point break, fast and hollow waves, both lefts and rights. Being a less crowded area makes it a surf destination with a more relaxed environment.
It is very convenient if you are traveling along with Portugal since it is between Lisbon and Porto and around one hour distance from other great surf breaks like Peniche or Espinho. The most famous spot is Praia do Cabedelo, remarkable for its dunes and wild vegetation. It is a quiet and friendly beach with good facilities and an amazing view of the city.
During your stay in Portugal On Water Surf Lodge, you can count on a delicious holiday. Portugal is well known for the gastronomy and you will keep that on the mind. You will have waiting for you:

Kids Surf Lessons
We offer lessons for kids aged between 6-12. We like parents to be close specially on younger ages.
If you are a parent you will be amazed with your kid riding a wave.
Safety and fun are our main priorities.
Beginner Surf Lessons
The session goes through the basic theory and techniques of surfing, you will know everything, from how to carry your board, to how to take off and catch the first waves. At the end you will be able to surf white water waves by yourself and you will have the first approach on surfing unbroken waves.
The main goal of the program is for you to start surfing safe and have a great time.
Intermediate Surf Lessons
At this stage you will be able to catch green waves and ride the face of the wave on regular basis.
Besides learning more advanced surfing techniques you must understand the priority rules and the correct position in the line-up to surf unbroken waves.
The main goal of the program is for you to become a better surfer and have lots of fun.
Advanced Surf Lessons
It’s time to improve your spot analysis and developing technique and confidence on the waves. Besides going both right and left on a wave you should start to incorporate some maneuvers.
Our instructors will give you personal feedback on the things you need to work on. The main goal of the program is to make you to be able to surf more and better independently.

Yoga
Surf-oriented yoga classes to help you with skills. Most of the time the classes are taken outside.
You will get different approaches/styles (hatha, vyniasa, aerial and kids/baby).

Either you want more adrenaline or just enjoying the ride, we can give you SUP sessions on the on the ocean or on the river, depending on your goals and skills.
Praia do cabedelo
Level: All Levels
Just to the south of Figueira town and an ex to WCT contest site. This excellent right wedges off the side of a long jetty and results in fast and hollow waves. NW winds are funneled offshore and it works best on a NW swell and incoming tide.
Buarcos
Level: Advanced
Quality right to hand pointbreak that holds a decent swell. It produces really long workable walls, with several surf spots along the coast.
There is also a surfable beach break here.

How did you like the accommodation?
Lovely staff, rooms very comfortable. The nearby city of Figueira de Foz was very lively and active at night due to a festival whilst we were there. The options for vegetarians and vegans are limited outside the accommodation however.
How were the surf lessons?
The instructors were very helpful and gave good advice on how to improve, unfortunately the surf conditions weren't great whilst I was there so I was limited to what I could do

Beautiful place, excellent food & wine and super friendly hosts. Everyone went out of their way to make me feel welcome & comfortable. I loved my stay here and will come back (and with a car this time).
How were the surf lessons?
Great instructor, patient & friendly. I only had a few lessons, but loved it and made some progress due to the excellent guidance of Marcos. And got some fun photos as well thanks to a very talented photographer!

The accommodation was perfect - we had a really nice room, the food was great, and we had a chance to everything: bike, run, paddleball, yoga, training at the gym, massages, and surfing. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a nice stay.
How were the surf lessons?
The surfing was amazing, we had a great instructor and progressed a lot throughout the week.

How did you like the accommodation?
Hotel is fabulous. Great staff, great pool and brilliant Padel court. Rooms are nice with air con, great showers and nice beds.
Good is good. Lunch is not that well used so takes a little longer but dinners are good and it’s a nice atmosphere. Look out for solo travellers and invite them on your table, it’s worth it.
The beach is about 15 mins away. If you can, get a hire car, it adds a little bit of freedom which is good. Nazare is an hour away and worth a visit. I would say this is like a boutique hotel. Pedro the owner takes real pride in the place and actively ensures everyone is enjoying themselves without ever being over the top. All the staff are excellent.
How were the surf lessons?
Lessons are good. Obviously depends on the conditions a lot. Sometimes the group can be a little large to cater for the differing skill levels. That said they do their best to keep an eye on everyone and seek out those who are trying hard. Very good!

Location perfect! 10 min from sea living in silence, well maintenanced, wonderful food from breakfast to dinner(thks chef). Very good pool with bar! Playroom with snooker, music,instruments, djset, gymnastics tool and other! Bike rental just perfect for local relaxing trip. Padel area with instructor or free! Yoga with beauty and nice Leanor....surf spot perfect for beginner or advanced, a photographer will find you in every situation . Room in perfect condition with god bathroom, air conditioning, WiFi in all area. We are a family, this holiday is good for all age, all skill. Just impossible not have fun or relax, you can choose! The most important thing for us are peoples: here we have found our “Portugues family”. All, ALL peoples are amazing, now FRIENDS. Thks to Riu, Guto, Nuno 1,2 &3 ! , Samuel, Vitali, and all people that works in this little paradise. Quinta D’Anta We love you all! See you next year.

This was my best experience so far with surf camps. This is a perfect place to learn how to surf and to develop your skills. The instructor is very attentive and always provides you with a feedback. You have one instructor per 4 people. Every evening you have a possibility to see you surfing on a screen (photos) that is very useful for the analysis of mistakes. The personnel is very attentive and nice. Food and wine is just amazing. I really recommend this place.

TOP!! L'endroit est superbe, le personnel est extrêmement chaleureux, on est accueillis comme de la famille ou des amis. Les cours de surf et yoga sont extras, les professeurs attentifs et qui nous portent, le tout avec humour! Le point majeur de ce séjour est vraiment l'accueil humain et le bien être ressenti. Bref, une expérience inoubliable ! Je ne serai pas sans y retourner !

How did you like the accommodation?
The hotel itself is a little paradise on hearth: green open spaces, amazing swimming pool, great facilities (both bed & shower were so difficult to leave because too good!). I was waking up every morning, having my coffee while sitting outside in the porch surrended just by the sounds of birds..isn't just the perfect way to start your day? I can't thank everyone enough to have made my holiday so special, Samuel, Nuno & Nuno, Rui, Juan, Patricia, Sara, Ana, Lisa (she can cook the most amazing homemade Portugues food you'll ever have!), everybody made me feel like home since day one!
Both my yoga & surf experience were just amazing! Being a total beginner on both activities my primary concern was not to have enough time to get the hang of it at least a little. But both Leonor (yoga) and Marcos (surf) were just incredibly patience and supporting, and never gave up on me. Leonor taught me how to listen to my body more, take more care of it on differrent levels, and how through practice and perseverance I can reach result that I never taught possible in such a small time! And surfing with Marcos was just as rewarding!
