A unique ericeira house create in to the 55 surf house, overlooking the Ocean and in the Ericeira center town, where you find true feeling of surfing, sk8, music and travel, you can bump into Bart Simpson on the bathroom, Las Vegas, Jamaica, Woodstock, Endless Summer DogTwon even a Pirate’s Island and the kings rooms...
The house can accommodate up to 22 guests in 7 separate rooms with sea view, private washbasin and the larger rooms have private bathroom.
It also has a loung area where you relax with friends.

Ericeira 55 Surf House is in the center of Ericeira on the seafront and has everything at a distance of a walk.
Ericeira, a beautiful traditional fishing town, the First european surfing world reserve, and second in the world, the town is 35 minutes from Lisbon. The Surf house is a 1 minute walk to the centre of town, 1 minute to Praia do Sul surf beach & 10 minutes from Foz do Lizandro, Norte and Matadouro surf beach
At a distance of 5km has over 20 surf spots, for all levels, beginners, intermediate, advanced/professionals...and many secrets spots to reveal, that only 55 crew know...

At the Loathing in Las Vegas room the experience is obviously a psychedelic one and if you turn off the lights you can feel some glowing eyes in the dark. Not a reason to be afraid, ok? The idea is to elevate the fun factor to the maximum. Sweet dreams. And try to no spend too much at the slots…

At Dog Town, you already know that, the waves are made of concrete, but the boards are equally rad. The décor on this room appeals to skate lovers and offers a thousand possibilities to amazing selfies with all the little details you will find out in the room. It’s only lacking a half pipe but it was either that or the beds…

Surf Lessons we offer:
Kids Surf Lessons
We have a Surf kids academy, for kids aged 5 to 12, each surf lessons up to 2hr per day, we have a surf teacher for every 5 children. and includes surfboard & wetsuit. We ask that parents are close by. We pick up from accommodation and take you to the beach. Safety and fun are our priorities.
Beginner Surf Lessons
Surfsoft-For anyone who is starting to surf and have no idea what is needed and need good and qualifiers teachers/coaches, in a small group of students, with the time and attention required and specific for each one, on a beach with the best conditions for learning and consolidation of the initial surf bases (balance, take off, paddling in different waves, tides, and swell adaptation).
Intermediate Surf Lessons
Evolution-For those who are already comfortable with the take off and are ready to paddle out past the broken waves to be in the “outside” to catch unbroken (green) waves with1/2m, 1m big and be with the other surfers. You are entitled to have a surf teacher for a small group and a van to search for the best surf spot so that you can train and improve in this kind of surf level.
Advanced Surf Lessons
Shortboard-For surfers who want good waves and great spots to surf and train.
For those that already have independent surf, however, want a skilled surfer/coach to correct and analyse their surf techniques and manoeuvres. You are entitled to have a van, a car or a pickup, photos and videos.
Private Surf Lessons
For those who just want to be alone with the surf teacher and want to improve the max the teacher surf trainig advices and knowledge. All surfing levels.

Best time to go depends on your level above. July, August & September are the peak tourist months.
This is where you surf Europe's best coast line and let the fun begin.There are over 12 surf breaks along the Ericeira coast, with different options for all standards. With so much choice you'll feel like a kid in a sweet shop! The area was introduced in the Stormriders Surf Guide to Europe with the heading "Enter the Heartland".
World Surf Reserve
In 2011 it was awarded the title of 'World Surf Reserve', there are only 2 other places in the world that share the title: Santa Cruz, US and Manly, Australia.
If it is your first surfing holiday to Ericeira then head straight to Foz do Lizandro and Sao Juliao beaches south of town, they are perfect beginner and intermediate surf spots. Closer to town is Praia do Sul. Another great beginner beach breaks. All best at mid tide but surfable at high and low tide also.
For Intermediates you have the reliable and safe reef break Ribeira d'Ilhas, which host the WSL World qualifying series surf championships every year. And for the more adventurous you have the world class Coxos. That's just naming a few, there are too many surf breaks to mention here!
Don't forget to explore further up the coast - 25 minutes away is Santa Cruz and an hour away is Peniche, home to the World renowned Supertubos and host of the Rip Curl Pro since 2009. 30 minutes south of Lisbon is the Cascais coast with the famous Praia do Guincho surf beach. And when north winds are blowing you can venture further south towards Carcevelos beach and the other surf spots along the Lisbon coast.

How did you like the accommodation?
The accommodation was perfect. Very clean, lots of common areas. A great place to stay as a lone traveller as the friendly staff encouraged extra openness between guests. Close to all local amenities.
How were the surf lessons?
Mixed experience. We learnt on a reef which meant the waves were easier but i think i would have preferred sand.

How did you like the accommodation?
Ericeira is a lovely town and there's lots of restaurants to choose from. The people are so welcoming and friendly. It's great being so close to the lots of beaches with so many different waves to surf.
How were the surf lessons?
The surf lessons were great and I always felt safe in the hands of the instructors. I have learnt a lot and feel as though I have improved. I had never surfed a reef break before but doing it with a surf school meant that I felt more confident and got good advice.

How did you like the accommodation?
The staff were friendly and eager to help with any questions we had. The accommodation was in a really good position, walking distance to the town and to several of the beaches. Having your own key meant that you can come and go as you please. There's a really spacious sitting room and a nice outdoor area too. They even have bikes that can be hired which are perfect for getting to one beach to the other.
How were the surf lessons?
Surf lessons were really good. Lots of help given to everyone from the instructors who were easy to talk too and full of helpful tips!

Travelled solo
How did you like the accommodation?
Accommodation was great, even more so given the low cost.
Being off season there wasn't too many people there but the social area was still good fun and met some great people. Imagine in the summer when full it will be very good fun.
Location is great - easy to get to and very easy short walk into tow. There's a café next door which also sells take away beers which was very handy!
If you want a fantastic fish restaurant literally overhanging the sea, and don't mind paying a little more Furnas is the place to go. The waves were breaking on the rocks in front and spraying almost up to the windows. The rest of the bars and restaurants I went to were also good.
Didn't take any surf lessons. Drove round a load of the breaks, with the right conditions you'll get some fantastic waves in - if the swell swing round then it's only a 30-40 min drive South to beaches breaks that are working - so ideal spot.
