Our Place is the perfect compromise between meeting the locals and dedicating your time surfing E to Bay. We offer good basic accommodation in local traditional style bungalows. BENG BENG
Very consistance world class wave,and extremely rippable left.This spot is loads of fun and probably one of the easiest waves to surf in our region. Its the deepest and safest waves and also picks up a bit more swell than others. 5 more break in the area,including E to Bay and Pistop are nestled inside a small bay with one of the most scenic views imaginable all around you,

E to BAY
This is a hallow left that barrels off the take off with a short wall down the line .A great option when a lot of swell is hitting. A hollow ,fast .powerfull left. A world class wave for experienced surfers. Watch out for the two rocks on the inside. Great barrels,and turns into a surfing paradise at 6 feet offshore.Chances are you'll get a mean aqua blue barrel.The scenery alone will blow away. Besides its aesthetic beauty, double overhead Ebay is a beast and force to be reckon with.

A shorter right,the breaks down the point from bankvaults. definitely fun and rippable. Usually has fairly deep water from the point of take off to the inside. Is a thick ,barrelling right punctuated by shifting line up.Sets seemingly emerge out of nowhere and can wreak havoc if you are caught out ofposition.The ideal size to surf it is head to high to triple overhead,in any swell size,getting caught inside is certaintly.Despite the dangers,snag a clean,open barrels here and you will be taking about it for years.

May to September is the peak season for surfing. Mar, April, Oct & Nov and 'off' season can be better because of the smaller crowds & more mellow surf. Rainy season is Sept-Dec with heavy rain for 2-3hrs per day but that doesn't effect the surf..
Mentawai Islands Wave Summary
Surfing Mentawais simple has it all, wherever you are staying you will have access to the most consistent surf in the planet. There are over 50 recognised spots and countless others.
The North
The largest island of the chain is Siberut. There is a huge selection of surf at the southern end of this island. The Nyang- Nyang reef points such as the world class left E-Bay and the right, Riffles ,are considered to be some of the most perfect waves in the world. Bank-vaults has now become infamous for one of the best waves around but is only for the experts.
In the same area you will also find plenty of playful less charging waves including Playgrounds, Tikis, Burger World and the fun right-hander wall Pitstops that ends on a sandy beach
Central
This island hosts Telescopes which is a consistent left that can peel for up to 200 metres and is good for almost all abilities. Scarecrows is a short, wedgy left which is best on best on a dropping tide.
In the south of Sipora you will find the well known surf breaks Lances left and Right. Lances Left is super fun and playful with a barrel section in the middle. It's beautiful turquoise water and perfect shape make it among the most photographed waves in the world, and one of the easiest to get barreled.Lances Right on the other hand is shallow, short, and advanced level only.
The South
South are the twin islands of Pagai Utara & Pagai Selatan. One of the worlds most famous waves Macaronis lies off Pagai Utauru. This ultra consistent left is a perfect deep barrel on the first section and then backs off to into a really fun wall.
Further north you have Bommie Peak which is only for the big wave hellmen.

How did you like the accommodation?
Ebay playground surfcamp has everything to offer to all visitors who want to experiment Mentawai's adventure. Great local food, nice bedrooms in little wood hut on the beach. Boat services available everyday to go to the best spots for 115 dollars that you can divide between the number of surfers. Otherwise, 5 world class spots are accessible walking around the island which are usually really good.
Finally eBay surfcamp is a really good compromise to live the mentawai dream.

How did you like the accommodation?
We really enjoyed our time in Masokut, the island is beautiful and still quite untouched. The camp is more basic but clean and there are beautiful palm trees all around the place. The food was good and always a lot, but more fruit would have been great, because we really love tropical fruit. The bathroom is indonesian style, but we knew that before. All in all it was a great way to live more simple and connect more with nature. We loved everyone working at the camp, very open, happy people we will miss!

Nice place with very good location just in front of eBay , there are 6 waves at 30min walking from the camp once you know the way ;) .
