Known for our good vibrations, friendly atmosphere and beach front location, it's easy to see why 80% of our guests are returning clients.
At Billabong Surfcamp & School, we have everything you need, attracting like minded people from around the world to you just need to bring yourself. Awesome times, sunshine, waves, new friends and everlasting memories will be provided!
Our Camp offers different kind of accommodations, shared and private ones. On the ground floor, you find 2 shared dorm rooms, 3 bathrooms as well as a living room and a fully equipped kitchen to share. Upstairs you find a private double room with ensuite bathroom. We also have 6 private apartments of different sizes in the Camp, all with oceanview and views to Lobos island. The Camp can accommodate up to 35 people.
Our big beachfront garden area with BBQ, hammocks, sun beds and slackline is the perfect place to meet all the other guests and hang out together after surfing.
All our guests have free use of our Paddle boards, Kayaks, Skateboards, Snorkel equippment & more.
Surf lessons & equipment rental as well as Yoga lessons are available on site.
Location
Our Camp is located right on the beautiful Waikiki beach in Corralejo. Staying in one of our beachfront accommodations, you will be surrounded by palm trees and the sound of the ocean.
The location is not only perfect for all oceanlovers but the Camp is also located very central. It is less than 5 walking minutes to the city centre of Corralejo, where you find many shops, nice bars & restaurants as well as supermarkets.

Despite being the second largest of the Canary Islands, Fuerteventura is still a small island and only takes an hour and a half to drive its length. What this also means is that there is always a coast that is working and plenty of empty waves to be surfed! With practically 365 days of sunshine & 25ºC plus weather it has often been called the Hawaii of Europe.
Like the rest of Europe the Autumn/ Winter gets the biggest surf and the spring/summer is perfect for beginner/intermediate surf...The Canaries lie 100kms off Africa and are a magnet for North Atlantic swells. The island is known for both expert waves and many mellow beachbreaks perfect for intermediate improvers.
Corralejo is often the starting point for a Fuerteventura surf holiday, a perfect base and close to many breaks. The main surf break in town is Rocky Point. Perfect for intermediates, improvers and for long boarders. Further across is Los Lobos island (uninhabited) with a World Class right hand point that runs for up to 400metres.
South of Corralejo is beginners surf beach 'Flag beach', close to the famous Dunes. Further south there are many different beaches that pick up good swell.
The North Shore is what the island is famous for and where you will find a coastline full of just about every wave imaginable. El Hierro is a great spot - with 3 different sections suitable for intermediates to experts ('The Bubble'). On the North West coast is the small village of El Cotillo, and one of the most beautiful beaches you will ever see. It is a very nice intermediate beach break and also be on the look out as it is a nudist beach in parts.

Corralejo is a beautiful town and has plenty to offer with the camp sitting directly on the beach it is easy to chill.
How were the surf lessons?
Felt right at home and the waves were amazing. Staff and travellers so friendly and easy to get along with, would definitely recommend!

How did you like the accommodation?
Right on the beach, great view, awesome outdoor patio for chillin or BBQ with everyone; they have picnic tables, lounge chairs, hammocks, and a couple big outdoor beds. The patio is also lit for nighttime hangouts. Kitchen was perfect for all our needs. Two bathrooms in the group room made it easy to get in there when one wants/needs. Rooms and such are cleaned daily by housekeeping staff and the owner, David, maintains the outdoor area on a daily basis; he takes pride in the presentation of his establishment. Everybody representing this establishment is beyond friendly and helpful. I recommend this location for anyone looking for a great time, some fun surfing, and the opportunity to meet great people.
How were the surf lessons?
Alternating instructors so they didn't realize I hadn't already received "day 1" instruction; got that about 3 days in so recommend making sure the instructor knows it's your first day. Fede (hope I spelled his name right) has some great information on how it all works to assist with understanding the water. Anol (again, spelling?) put us through great warm-up and stretch routines before and after surfing lessons. Both are talented surfers and instructors.
Provided gear and boards are well maintained and maintained with every use.
The water was a bit choppy from the wind (end of June/beginning or July) but that's not the instructors fault. Hopefully going back in November for better waves.

How did you like the accommodation?
We were in top room looking out to ocean, amazing to wake up having breakfast outside with the sun comming up .
Room is more than wot we expected really big private shower room and views to make you want to book again. Also very clean.
Staff and instructors were more than happy to help make your holiday that something special.
Meeting people from all over the world and enjoying going out into the town at night with them was really nice.
Nice bars and restaurants, not to lively but just a great vibe.
Many of the people staying at the surf school have returned some as much as 8 times .
Can't wait to come back next year .
So many surf spots with different waves for all levels from knee high to 2x head high.
The free use off paddle boards and kayaks was a added bonus.
How were the surf lessons?

Wave conditions how to read the waves.
Made it great fun .
The local coffee and cake stops on the way back were something to look forward to .
Also safety was number one which was great to see very professional but made it fun at the same time.

The hostel was perfectly placed and the surrounding restaurants were great. The people were friendly and the stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
How were the surf lessons?
The surf lessons were good. The instructors were amazing teachers and I got to stand up on my board within a couple of sessions. The beaches were beautiful with fantastic sandy beaches and waves.

How did you like the accommodation?
The accommodation was great, right on the beach and much nicer than I anticipated. The apartment was large and spacious with huge lounge windows overlooking the courtyard area and beach. Really stunning.
We were in apartment 2. We had 2 bedrooms, one double room and a twin which was perfect for us. There was plenty of wardrobe space and storage throughout and a large kitchen lounge diner that had everything we needed.
Our host was charming, friendly and helpful. You could tell he took great pride in his surf school. The free use of paddleboards, Skateboards and kayaks was great for us to keep busy when we weren't surfing.
The courtyard on the beach is a really nice area with two hammocks and lounging areas. Ideal when it gets a bit windy on the beach.
My daughter is Vegan and it was hard to find food for her locally which was expected to be fair but there are Vegan restaurants around, although not all are open in Easter when we were there.
How were the surf lessons?
Our instructor Guilio was fantastic and really made our holiday. He was funny amiable and always calm and friendly. Even on days where the surf was not great or too hard for us to enjoy, he made the days out really special. Please pass on our thanks.

How did you like the accommodation?
The accommodation was great. The only slight issue was that the bedroom was a bit damp, which is usual for accommodations on the beach front. Otherwise, everything was excellent and very clean.
How were the surf lessons?
The instructors were all excellent and had their own style. I think stretching should be part of the lessons as well as some theory for the absolute beginners.

Accommodation was good, better to what I have imagined it would be,
I don't stay in dorm rooms too often, but there was no other availability when I was booking.
Beds were comfortable, linen and towels where provided the facilities were clean and well looked after and the cleaning lady was there everyday and she was super nice too, ‘the spot’ is spectacular in regards to location is literally on the beach, you have access to the ocean within couple of steps…
the place is surrounded with restaurants, cafes, shops and there is also couple of clubs?/disco places...
it is easy to get to by public buses(2) from the airport. or you can book cheap shuttle (about €8)
if you staying in a shared accommodation the entrances is from the beach.
How were the surf lessons?
I am beginner, I took my time and I uber enjoyed the whole expirience, teachers were great - mostly spoke with Gulio and he explains things well and makes you feel welcome.
I didn't really have much of introduction, but I arrived at weird time and was the only newbie on the day, I am sure if I have asked I would get a repeater, or they would explain everything, but I haven't I prefer observing others and figuring things out myself ( I think)
People in the camp were super welcoming, the manager - Katja has explained everything to me when I arrived, there was a lot of information to take on board for the first timer but she had patience and repeated things few times :)
the most important thing is that as soon as I had my third lesson I booked another stay with Billabong for following month, that should tell you all about the camp! :D
* I really dislike wearing wetsuit, but that has nothing to do with the lessons or the place ;)

The accommodation was very good, fantastic location (honestly it's perfect). Was clean and well maintained and probably the perfect size for the number of residents.
Corallejo is awesome just enough night life and restaurants etc. to keep you entertained but not too much to make it overwhelming. Banana bar, Waikiki and El Toro Bravo we up there as favorites.
Proximity to the stop is good too and you can find everything you need within 5-10min walk.
How were the surf lessons?
Surf instructors are really good, know when to give advice and when to try to move you on. Thank you to all the guys, Danny, Like and Julio
It was only the stones on the beach at playa blanca that bothered me everything other location was really good

How did you like the accommodation?
Billabong House Fuerteventure was awesome. Directly on the beach. While you don´t surf directly on this beach (beach break took away surf), it´s one of the most relaxing beaches and right in the center of town. Could not recommend the location for the stay more. The town is nice, lots of night life if you´re into that as well as great restaurants of all sorts.
