A typical Portuguese summer house converted into lovely Hostel with overlooking the Ocean.
Chill Hill can accommodate up to 21 guests and have 3 splendid private rooms and 2 bed shared rooms, all sharing 4 comfortable bathrooms.
Located in the top of the hill, this Chill Hill Hostel have a quiet and peaceful location.
It also has a garden and a terrace where you can eat, make a barbecue, relax and feel at home, or socialize with friends or others guests.
In the garden you can store your boards, wash & dry your wetsuit.
Surf lessons, guiding & equipment is all available on site.
Location
Chill Hill Hostel is located on the hill, near the center of the charming fisherman´s village Ericeira (5 minutes walking to the bus station terminal or to the center) and and almost next to the Health Center of Ericeira.
The village is very nice and is located 40 minutes from Lisbon.
Chill Hill also is located close to several beaches: Praia do Sul, Praia dos Pescadores, and Praia do Norte.
For to arrive to Ribeira D´Ilhas Beach, the Meca of portuguese surf, you need to walk around 15 minutes, but if you stay with us, and for example you wish surf lessons you transfers to the beach for free.

We offers surf lessons for kids aged 5-17. Each surf lesson is around 2h per session and have all equipment included (wetsuit, board and botiies). If you stay in our accommodation you have transfers for the beach for free price.
Beginner Surf Lessons
Our surf lessons are around 2h per session and have all equipment inclued (wetsuit, board and botties). If you stay in our accommodation you have transfers for the beach for free price. Many of our guests are absolutely beginners, and for that you stay in good company. The ratio for each surf lesson is around 1:8. Theoretical and practical surf lessons. The surf teachers are graduate.
Intermediate Surf Lessons
Each surf lesson is around 2h per session and have all equipment included (wetsuit, board and botties). If you stay in our accommodation you have transfers for the beach for free price. Best time to go depends on your level above. July, August & September are the peak tourist months.
This is where you surf Europe's best coast line and let the fun begin.There are over 12 surf breaks along the Ericeira coast, with different options for all standards. With so much choice you'll feel like a kid in a sweet shop! The area was introduced in the Stormriders Surf Guide to Europe with the heading "Enter the Heartland".
World Surf Reserve
In 2011 it was awarded the title of 'World Surf Reserve', there are only 2 other places in the world that share the title: Santa Cruz, US and Manly, Australia.
If it is your first surfing holiday to Ericeira then head straight to Foz do Lizandro and Sao Juliao beaches south of town, they are perfect beginner and intermediate surf spots. Closer to town is Praia do Sul. Another great beginner beach breaks. All best at mid tide but surfable at high and low tide also.
For Intermediates you have the reliable and safe reef break Ribeira d'Ilhas, which host the WSL World qualifying series surf championships every year. And for the more adventurous you have the world class Coxos. That's just naming a few, there are too many surf breaks to mention here!
Don't forget to explore further up the coast - 25 minutes away is Santa Cruz and an hour away is Peniche, home to the World renowned Supertubos and host of the Rip Curl Pro since 2009. 30 minutes south of Lisbon is the Cascais coast with the famous Praia do Guincho surf beach. And when north winds are blowing you can venture further south towards Carcevelos beach and the other surf spots along the Lisbon coast.
