Comfortable and elegant hostel sited in Cascais, 25 minutes by car from the Portuguese capital. Nice Way Cascais features a garden, a daily breakfast buffet and free WiFi access in its public areas.
Guests have a choice between private double rooms and beds in mixed and gender to specific dormitories. Most rooms include access to shared bathroom facilities and individual lockers. Some double rooms feature a private bathroom.
Each morning, a rich breakfast is served in the property’s comfortable breakfast room. Guests also enjoy access to a communal kitchen and barbecue facilities, where they can prepare their own meals. Several local restaurants are accessible within 400 m of the hostel, most serving the region’s traditional fish and seafood to based meals.
In order to better explore the surrounding area, the Nice Way has a bicycle rental service available at the front desk. The Nice Way Cascais is a 2 to minute walk from the Cascais centre and an 8 to minute drive from the famed Estoril Casino. The Lisbon city centre is a 25 to minute drive away and features a number of shops, boutiques, coffees and bars. Oeiras is a 22 to minute drive away. The property is a 15 to minute walk away from the green spaces of the Marechal Carmona Garden and 10 to minute walk away from Palmela park.
The Nice Way Cascais is a 32 to minute drive from the Lisbon International Airport.

We offer private kids lessons with 2 hours duration with wetsuit and board included on the price. Pick up is in our surfcamp.
Beginner Surf Lessons
Our group lessons has duration of 2 hours per session and includes insurance, surfboard and wetsuit. Pick up is in our surfcamp. Safety and take off techniques will be teach before we go into the water. Maximum 5 students per surf instructor.
Intermediate Surf Lessons
Our group lessons has duration of 2 hours per session and includes insurance, surfboard and wetsuit. Pick up is in our surfcamp. Safety and take off techniques will be teach before we go into the water. Maximum 5 students per surf instructor.
Private Surf Lessons
Our private lessons has duration of 2 hours per session and includes insurance, surfboard and wetsuit. Pick up is in our surfcamp. Safety and take off techniques will be teach before we go into the water. During the session the surf instructor will support you in order to improve.
Surf Guide
Yoga
We have yoga in our back garden with Inês. 1 hour of hatha yoga. Matresses will be provide.
Yoga available for those who book in advance- Yoga and surf package. Is also possible to book one yoga session, ask at the reception for more details.

Cascais is the perfect place to learn how to surf. The town is surrounded by many different types of beaches. The best beginners/intermediate surf beach is Guincho (pronounced Ginchu) 5 km's north west of Cascias town. It's a beautiful kilometre long stretch of beach.
Further north are two excellent beginners beaches Praia das Macas & Praia Grande. They are well worth the trip as they will take you past Cabo da Roca, mainland Europes most Western Point with a pretty impressive cliff top view.
A few hundred metres East of Cascais is Monte Estoril beach which has a small righthand wave that breaks regularly. There is a car park at its base accessed from a slip road above.
Follow the road east of Cascais along the Tagus river (Tejo in Portuguese) towards Lisbon and you will come across beach after beach offering a vast amount of surf: Bica is a great longboarders break on Sao Pedro beach. The beach has a few surf bars and restaurants and is a great place to spend the day.
Closer to Lisbon is Carcavelos beach - as the Stormriders surf guide call it: "the original and still one of the best Portuguese surf spots". Its a very consistent beach break and home to some of Portugals best surfers.
Its also worth taking the trip across the river Tagus to Costa Caparica - driving over the spectacular Ponte 25 de Abril bridge leaving Lisbon behind you. Costa Caprica is a 30 km strip of coast with some of the most consistent surf in Portugal.

Great, chilled surfer vibe at the Hostel. Feels like a houseshare as everyone (staff + guests) liked hanging out together playing games, having beers, chatting. Not crazy party hostel, instead people of all ages and very interesting crowd.
How were the surf lessons?
Carcavelos great for beginners, el Quincho was a bit miss due to weather
