Location
Sitting on the western edge of the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica, Santa Teresa is a tiny beach village that draws in a lot of surfers and beach bodies. It is the perfect mix of laid to back beach town and Costa Rican charm. Its developed enough to have plenty of food options and plenty of activities, but remote enough that the beach is not packed with tourists and people trying to sell you things. The beach is long and beautiful with white sands. Like many beaches in Costa Rica, there are no mega to hotels or resorts lining the beach, there is just pure, natural beauty. The waves are great for surfing. The surrounding jungle is beautiful and teems with wildlife. You’ll likely hear howler monkeys howling in the distance. Go to Santa Teresa and you will undoubtedly enjoy the Pura Vida.
We are located on the north side of Santa Teresa. Just a 3 minute walk down from our ocean view set up you will discover Santa Teresa’s idyllic white sandy beaches adorned with turquoise peeling waves perfect for surfers.
We are nestled in the quiet side of Santa Teresa but still within walking distance to vibrant cafes and shops.
Still for you comfort we suggest you to rent a car or an ATV, this will be of great help and make your holidays more enjoyable.

Playa Santa Teresa features an exposed beach break with superb waves that work throughout the year. The word class waves are regular, powerful and fast. They break to the right and left over a rocky sand bottom. The waves are fairly short reaching up to 150 meter on a good day. The offshore wind blows from the west and best swells gather from northwest, west and southwest.

Surf beaches around Santa Teresa
Playa El Carmen is the most popular spot in this laid back Santa Teresa surf area. It is an excellent open beach break for all standards. Surfing Playa Santa Teresa is a mix of sand and volcanic rock which create some barrel riding waves. Hermosa offers gentler waves, an excellent spot for beginners.
Air temperature in Santa Teresa is the same year round 32°C. The seasons can be divided in two: From December to April you have the Dry Season, and from May to November the Wet Season. The busiest time for tourism in Costa Rica is the Dry Season.
Santa Teresa is a year round surf destinations. From April to October is the larger swell season. From December to March waves are smaller but nice and clean, usually around 4 foot and it is probably the best time to stay at a Santa Teresa Surf Camp. The Wind is not usually a major factor and glassy offshore conditions are usually best in the morning.
The area has dozens of waves off the beaten track waiting to be explored and surfed from Manzanillo in the north and around to Montezuma on the other side. Come Surf Santa Teresa with us...
PAYMENT
- A small deposit is required to secure your booking.
- Your balance is due to the property 30 days before arrival. The Property will contact you to collect payment. If you book within this 30 days then the property will contact you shortly after you book to collect the balance.
CANCELLING YOUR BOOKING
- To cancel go to the MyAccount section and log in or register and you can cancel from within your account.
- Your deposit is non refundable but can be used for the same property/surf school within one year of your original booking.
- Full accommodation and services must be paid 30 days prior to arrival date, in case of cancelation up to 30 days in advance, 100% will be refund, cancelations up to 7 days prior to arrival 50% will be refund and cancelations during the last 7 days prior to arrival are not refundable.

· Eduardo was a complete legend and bent over backwards for us during our stay, the beach at the bottom of the hill is absolutely stunning with the best surf and swimming of the Santa Teresa beach I would say. RocoMar is an amazing restaurant at the bottom of the hill on the beach - the food in Santa Teresa in general is incredible!!

· Very good and comfortable place, nice location. All houses have fantastic view. We also had a private pool and a nice terrace. Cleaning was also good. The staff was very friendly and helpful, providing outstanding service. Travelled around Costa Rica for almost 4 weeks and changed approx 8 different hotels - AKWA was the best.
Eduardo (Hotel's manager) and his team helped me with the car (I broke the front bumper) - they fixed it for no any additional charge. Eduardo, if you read this, thanks once again - we had a safe trip back to San Jose via Arenal!
